I’m Kristen Cain. I am finally living a life that's authentic, simple and usually stylish.
It's a life I love!
I couldn't always say that.
Less than a decade ago, I was a MESS!
And not the hot, beautiful kind.
Here’s the nutshell version of my story…
I was sorely out of touch with my own sensuality...
deep in the zone of mothering littles, I longed to feel sexy and desirable.
I’d become a pro at playing it safe and small...I knew I wanted more, but kept hesitating, unsure of where to even start.
I was a text book case; wearing 20% of my wardrobe, 80% of the time.
My style was undefined and I didn't love anything in my closet.
Rewriting lists was my favorite pastime and organized clutter was my soulmate.
I regularly reserved the good stuff (clothing, moods, stationery, candles, etc.)
for later... as tomorrow would surely be ‘better’, so I’d save 'special' until then.
I'd cruise along, looking like my act was together until the spinning plates toppled...
overwhelmed and defeated, I'd vow to make the necessary changes. But I was ruled by fear and rarely took action.
My go-to move was to hold back...never quite showing up fully.
I was always afraid, always resisting. What I thought were good reasons, were really excuses.
I spent years waiting for my wonderful life to finally begin!
I knew I had something to contribute. I knew I could be doing more.
Enter the wise old Universe...
Looking back, my shift towards a simple, authentic, beautiful life began in a most unlikely place. I read an article in Redbook magazine.
A tired mom and wife shared her experience of posing for boudoir photographs. I must have reread the article at least a dozen times.
Something inside of me was waking up.
The urge to 'expose' myself was too strong to ignore. The featured photographer lived on the opposite coast, yet I was determined.
I hatched a plan. Less than five months later, I arrived at that same photographer's home studio for my own private session.

Something was cracking open.
That photo shoot was the beginning of my ‘becoming’ the woman I’d always dreamed of being. I now know for sure that she was there all along, she just had some work to do before she could step boldly forward. Don't let the photos fool you. The journey to live my best life has been sidetracked more than once. Over the past several years, I’ve embarked on some serious self-excavation. And recently, I began the intense work of Refining Life for the Next Decade. But the coolest thing? I’m a different girl now. I can’t go back. I sometimes feel like I'm changing so fast it almost hurts. Embracing the new me is often frightening because 'she' wants so much and won't settle for less. I finally feel awake and alive. I want every woman to tap into this incredible power and awareness! |
Life is meant to be joyful. Actually filled with joy. Not happiness, which can be fleeting, but pure, deep-dwelling joy. Couple that joy with a true understanding of who you are and what you stand for...and you'll be on you way to living your very best life!

What needs to change to make it happen for you?
